HammerFallは1993年に結成されたスウェーデンのヘビーメタル／パワーメタルバンド
彼らの12枚目のアルバム。2022年2月にリリース。
90年代初頭ヨーロッパ市場において衰退の一途をたどっていた正統派メタル再び復活させた中心的存在。
そういった理由からこのアルバムを聴いてハンマーフォール特有の北欧的メロディーラインとお馴染みヨアキムのボーカルほっと胸を撫で下ろす。全体的にストレートなパワーメタルで一貫した仕上がりは素晴らしい。
それと同時に”王道”であるためにこのアルバムに目新しいものをはっきりと見つけることができないことも確認できる。
正直こういったアルバムを出し続けてくれることは手放しでうれしい。
これはまともな良いアルバムであること間違いない。
正統派メタルの雰囲気を楽しみたいひとにはおすすめできるが、ハンマーフォールに新たな発見や斬新さを望むことは簡単ではない。

HammerFall is a Swedish heavy metal / power metal band formed in 1993.
This is their 12th album. It was released in February 2022.
They revived orthodox metal, which had been declining in the European market in the early 90’s.
So I listen to this album and feel at ease with HammerFall’s Scandinavian melody line and the familiar Joakim vocals. .. The overall straight power metal, the finish from beginning to end is wonderful.
At the same time, because it is “orthodox”, I can’t clearly find anything new in this album.
To be honest, I’m very happy that they continue to release such albums.
There is no doubt that this is a decent good album.
I can recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy the atmosphere of orthodox metal.
