シャーマンは、アングラを脱退したアンドレ・マトスらによって2000年に結成されたブラジルのヘヴィメタルバンド。
メンバーチェンジを経て2013年、リカルド・コンフェッソーリ以外全員が脱退。2018年、結成メンバーで再結成してライブ活動も復帰する。
2019年、アンドレ・マトス死去。数ヶ月後バンドは継続することを決意して、アンドレの代わりにアリリオ・ネット（ex.AGE OF ARTEMIS）が加入。
これは彼らの6枚目のスタジオアルバムで2022年5月にリリースされた。
イントロから比較的長いインストゥルメンタル曲を聴いていると、新生シャーマンがどんなものか楽しみで、期待に胸に膨らませる。
インストが終わると、新しいボーカル、アリリオ・ネットは、アイアン・メイデンを思わせる、疾走感あるナンバーを、パワフルなハイトーンで完璧に歌いこなす。
彼は間違いなくこのバンドにふさわしい、素晴らしいシンガーだ。
音楽性としては、メロディックなパワーメタルであり、テクニカルかつエモーショナル、ミドルナンバーでもバラードもボーカルが力強く歌い上げていくタイプなので、聴いていて安心で、心地良い。
そしてキャッチーなサビで爽やかなナンバー Don’t Let It Rainは、これからの新生シャーマンの可能性を感じさせる、透明感がある良い曲だ。
全体として質が高く、新しいボーカルお披露目の良い作品だ。
彼らが、今後のブラジルのパワーメタルバンドとして、欠かせない存在であることに間違いない。

Shaman is a Brazilian heavy metal band formed in 2000 by Andre Matos, who left Angra.
After the member change, in 2013, everyone except Ricardo Confessori left. In 2018, the members will be reunited and live activities will return.
Andre Matos dies in 2019. A few months later, the band decided to continue, and Aririo Net (ex.AGE OF ARTEMIS) joined.
This is their sixth studio album, released in May 2022.
It’s a long instrumental song from the intro.
When I listen to it, I get excited about the new Shaman.
It makes me feel happy.
At the end of the instrumental song, the new vocalist, Aririo Net, sings a fast-paced number like Iron Maiden perfectly in high notes.
He’s definitely a great singer for this band.
As for musicality, it is a melodic power metal, technical and emotional, and it is a type that vocals sing powerfully in middle numbers and ballads, so it is comfortable to listen to.
And the catchy chorus and refreshing number “Don’t Let It Rain” is a pure and good song that makes you feel the potential of the new Shaman in the future.
Overall, it’s a good piece of work that shows that the quality is high and the new vocals are great.
There is no doubt that they are necessary as a future power metal band in Brazil.
