サバトンの元メンバーを中心に結成された。
これは彼らの4枚目のスタジオアルバムで2022年6月にリリースされた。現在のラインナップはDaniel Mullback（ドラム）（ ex-サバトン）、Daniel Mÿhr（キーボード）（ex-サバトン）、Petrus Granar （ギター、ベース）、Kelly Sundown Carpenter（ボーカル）(ex. Adagio,Beyond Twilightand,Darkology)、Thobbe Englund (ギター)（ex-サバトン）
新しいボーカリストになってからの初のフルアルバム。
情熱的でパワフルなヴォーカル、壮大でシンフォニックな要素を含んだ曲や、エモーショナルなボーカルが魅力のパワーバラードがあり、戦争と歴史的な戦いをテーマとした物語がうまく表現されている。
サバトンよりはヘヴィだが、パワーメタルとしてはソフトよりである。
全体としてサビは充実しているが、何度聴いてもどういうわけか、あまり印象に残らなかった。
だが全体的なサウンドは素晴らしく、純粋なパワーメタルの良盤であると言える。

Civil War is a Swedish power metal band formed in 2012.
This band was formed around former members of Sabaton.
This is their fourth studio album, released in June 2022. The current lineup is Daniel Mullback (drum) (ex-Sabaton), Daniel Mÿhr (keyboard) (ex. Sabaton), Petrus Granar (guitar, bass) Kelly Sundown Carpenter (vocal) (ex- Adagio, Beyond Twilightand, Darkology), Thobbe Englund Guitar (ex-Sabaton)
This album is the first full album since becoming a new vocalist
Passionate and powerful vocals, songs with epic and symphonic elements, and power ballads with emotional vocals are a good way to tell a story about war and historic battles.
It’s heavier than Sabaton, but softer as a power metal.
Overall the chorus is solid, but personally it wasn’t that impressive.
But the overall sound is great and it’s a good album of pure power metal.
