ニュー・ホライズンは2020年に元H.E.A.Tメンバーのエリック・グロンウォールとH.E.A.Tのヨナ・ティー（Key）によって結成されたスウェーデンのパワーメタルバンド。
これは彼らのデビューアルバムで2022年3月にリリースされた。
ゲストボーカルとしてサム・トットマン（G / ドラゴンフォース）、ラヴ・マグヌソン（G / ダイナスティ）、デイヴ・ダロン（G / H.E.A.T）等が参加。
H.E.A.Tのメンバーと、元H.E.A.Tメンバーのボーカルという事で、どうしてもH.E.A.Tと比較してしまうことになるが、音楽性は、H.E.A.Tよりはヘヴィーで、正統派パワーメタルといった感じ。エリック・グロンウォールの歌声はハードロックでもメタルでもどちらにも合う器用なタイプであり、パワーメタルの楽曲に必要なパワフルなロングトーンがとても映える。できればこの人にはメタルの曲を歌ってほしいと思うのは個人的な希望だ。
このアルバムは彼の素晴らしい歌唱に、力強いリフ、エネルギッシュなギターソロと、パワーメタルに必要な要素はすべて含んでいる。
ただいい意味でのH.E.A.Tっぽさがあるが、曲のサビが印象に残りにくく、期待していたものとは違った。
個人的にはあまり前向きでない思いはあるが、パワーメタルアルバムとしては良いアルバムであり、エリック・グロンウォールのファンにとっては十分満足できるアルバムと言える。

New Horizon is a Swedish power metal band formed in 2020 by former H.E.A.T members Erik Grönwall and H.E.A.T’s Jona Tee (Key).
This was their debut album released in March 2022.
Guest vocals include Sam Totman (G / Dragon Force), Rob Love Magnusson (G / Dynasty), Dave Dalone (G / H.E.A.T) and others.
Since it is a unit of H.E.A.T members and vocals of former H.E.A.T members, it will be compared with H.E.A.T by all means, but the musicality is heavier than H.E.A.T, and it feels like an orthodox power metal. Erik Grönwall Erik Grönwall’s singing voice is a type that suits both hard rock and metal, and the powerful long tones required for power metal songs stand out. It’s my personal hope to want this person to sing a metal song if possible.
This album has all the elements needed for power metal, with powerful riffs, energetic guitar solos, in his wonderful singing.
It’s just like H.E.A.T in a good way, but the chorus of the song is hard to impress, so it wasn’t what I expected.
Personally, I don’t think it’s very positive, but it’s a good power metal album, and it’s a satisfying album for Erik Grönwall fans.
