ジャイアント は、1987年にダン・ハフとアラン・パスクァによって結成された、アメリカのハードロックバンドである。
1992年に一時解散し、2000年に再結成している。
現在のバンドは創立時のメンバーであるデヴィッド・ハフとマイク・ブリグナーディロが中心となり、ギタリストのジョン・ロス（ウィンガーetc）、新ボーカリストのケント・ヒッリ（パーフェクトプラン）で編成されている。ダン・ハフは1曲でリードギターを弾くのみの参加。
これは彼らの5枚目のスタジオアルバムで2022年1月にリリースされた。
良質なメロディックハードロック。アメリカ的でヨーロッパの要素をうまくミックスさせるスタイルは、ジャイアントそのもの。ダン・ハフがいた頃よりはよりソフトで全体的に落ち着いたサウンドになっている。
そして今作はダン・ハフがゲスト参加。それでGiantの名前を使えるのか・・・仕上がりが良ければ誰もが納得できるというところか。
楽曲全体がよりクリアで洗練された印象。ハードさに物足りなさを感じる人にとっては、期待していた”Giant”ではないかもしれない。

Giant is an American hard rock band formed by Dann Huff and Alan Pasqua in 1987.
Giant disbanded in 1992, reunited in 2000.
The current band is founding members David Huff and Mike Brignerdiro, guitarist John Ross (Winger etc), and new vocalist Kent Hilli (Perfect Plan). Dann Huff only participates in playing lead guitar with one song.
This is their fifth studio album, released in January 2022.
Good quality melodic hard rock. The style that mixes American and European elements well is the giant. It’s softer and milder overall than it was when Dann Huff was there.
And this time, Dann Huff participated as a guest. Can it be called Giant? … If the album is good, everyone will accept it.
The whole song is clearer and it’s cool. .. For those who feel unsatisfied with the hardness, it may not be the “Giant” you expected.
