クラッシュダイエット は、2000 年にデイヴ・レパード（ボーカル、ギター)とピーター・ロンドン（ベース）を中心に結成されたスウェーデンハードロック/グラム メタルバンド。
2004年、デビュー・シングル「Riot in Everyone」リリース。
2005 年、デビュー アルバムRest in Sleazeをリリース。
2006 年、ボーカリストのデイヴ・レパードは、うつ病のため、25 歳で自殺。
2007 年 新しいボーカリスト、オリ・ヘルマン（ 現レックレス・ラヴ）加入、セカンドアルバムリリース。2つのバンドの両立が難しくなり、解雇される。
2010 年 新しいボーカリスト、サイモン・ クルーズ加入。同年と、2013年にスタジオアルバムリリース。2015年日本ツアーの途中で、サイモン・ クルーズはバンドを脱退。
2019 年 新しいボーカリスト、ガブリュエル・キーズ を迎えスタジオアルバム” Rust”をリリース。
これは彼らの6枚目のアルバムで2022年4月にリリースされた。
Steel Panther の Michael Starr のゲスト ボーカル参加。
良い意味で期待を裏切られた作品。
クラッシュダイエットに期待されるものなのかどうかわからないが、楽曲が全て良い。真のメロディックハードロックバンドと言っても過言ではない。グラムメタルやグッドルッキングのイメージが逆に悪い影響ではないかと心配になるほどだ。
このバンドはこういったレベルの高い曲を出せることが証明されたので、将来安泰だと思う。
とにかく一つの曲の完成度が高く、無駄がなく、コンパクト。テンポチェンジや楽曲の多様性が緩やかなため、リラックスして楽しむことができる。メロディー重視、これに尽きる。アップリフティングになり過ぎることなく、アルバムはパワー バラード「I can’t move on (Without You)」、ガブリュエルの素晴らしいハイトーンで締めくくり、心地良いハードロックアルバム。何度も繰り返し聴いてしまう。今一番輝いている、メロディックハードロックバンドの一つだと言える。

Crashdïet is a Swedish hard rock / glam metal band formed in 2000 by Dave Lepard (vocals, guitar) and Peter London (bass).
They released their debut single “Riot in Everyone” in 2004.
They made their debut in 2005 and released his album Rest in Sleaze.
In 2006, vocalist Dave Lepard committed suicide at the age of 25 due to depression.
In 2007, Olli Herman (now Reckless Love) joined as a new vocalist. Second album released. It became difficult for the two bands to work together, and he left.
And in 2010, Simon Cruz joined as a new vocalist.
In the same year and 2013, a studio album was released. Simon Cruise left the band during the 2015 Japan tour.
Gabriel Keyes joins as a new vocalist in 2019. Released the studio album “Rust”.
This is their sixth album, released in April 2022.
Steel Panther’s Michael Starr is the guest vocalist.
A really amazingly good album. ..
I don’t know if listeners expect Crashdïet, but the songs are all really good. It is no exaggeration to say that it is a true melodic hard rock band. I’m worried that the image of glam metal and good looking may have a bad effect.
The band has proved to be able to produce such high-level songs, so I think the future is promising.
Anyway, one song is perfect, simple and compact. The tempo changes and the variety of songs are not intense, so you can relax and enjoy yourself. They consider the melody to be important, and that’s all. Without being too uplifting, the album powers his ballad “I can’t move on (Without You)”, ending with Gabruel’s brilliant high-pitched voice, a good hard rock album. I listen to it over and over again. It’s one of the most exciting melodic hard rock bands.
