ラムシュタインは、 1994年にベルリンで結成されたドイツのロックバンド。
バンドのラインナップは、リードボーカリストのティル・リンデマン、リードギタリストのリヒャルト・Z・クルスペ、リズムギタリストのパウル・ランダース、ベーシストのオリバー・リーデル、ドラマーのクリストフ・シュナイダー、キーボード奏者のクリスチャン・ローレンツ。
2019年5月にリリースされた、彼らの7枚目のアルバムは「タイトルなし」(No Title)初めて全英チャートでトップ10入りを果たし、日本のオリコンでも総合チャートで39位、洋楽チャートで7位を記録。
これは彼らの8枚目のスタジオアルバムで2022年4月にリリースされた。
ドイツ語のZeit は”Time”。
聴けば誰であるかわかる、独特のスタイル。インダストリアルメタルサウンドで、唸るような低音のボーカル。歌詞はドイツ語。
彼らの歌詞の内容は過激なものもあり、哲学的である。
楽曲はシンセサイザーが豊富で、マイルドなメロディーにリフはインパクトがあり、非常にエネルギッシュ。
創設者リヒャルト・クルスペはこのアルバムを作る前にうつ病になっており、音楽を終わらせることを考えたこともあった。
だが再び音楽を作ることに意味を見出して、再びアルバム制作への意欲がわいたという。
それを聞くと納得ができる。
この作品はこれまでと同様に意気込みが感じられる素晴らしいものであり、彼らは私達ファンを喜ばせ続けていると言える。

Rammstein is a German rock / industrial metal band formed in Berlin in 1994.
The band’s lineup is Till Lindemann (vocals), Richard Kruspe (lead guitar), Paul Landers (rhythm guitar), Oliver Riedel (bass), drummer Christoph Schneider (drums), and Christian Lorenz (keyboards).
Their seventh album, released in May 2019, was “No Title” for the first time in the top 10 on the UK charts. It reached No. 39 on the Oricon chart in Japan and No. 7 on the Western music chart.
This is their eighth studio album, released in April 2022.
A unique style that everyone can hear and know who they are. Industrial metal sound, roaring low-pitched vocals. The lyrics are in German.
The content of their lyrics is radical and philosophical.
The songs are rich in synthesizers, the riffs have an impact on the mild melody, and they are very energetic.
Founder Richard Kruspe was depressed before making this album, and he even thought about to finish with the music.
However, he found meaning in making music and was motivated to make an album again.
I can understand it when I hear it.
This work is as ambitious and wonderful as ever, and we can fully enjoy it.
