“印象的なリフ”と答える人は多いと思う。パンテラのパクリと言われようと、いいものはいい。気が付けばラム・オブ・ゴッドのアルバムを再生している、、そんな人も多いと思う。
このアルバムはスラッシュメタルであり、グルーヴとわずかにメロディックな要素があり、クラシックなハードコアの要素がある、バランスの取れた良いアルバムだ。
アグレッシブで、時折メランコリックで、ダイナミックでストレート、古くからのファンが彼らにがっかりするような悪い要素はない。
だが個人的に今作においてはインパクトがある何度も聴きたくなるような要素は感じられなかった。
これまでのアルバムのと比較になってしまうので、何か物足りない感覚になることはある程度は仕方がないことだと思う。
バンドとして 20 年以上のキャリアがあるので、新しい何かを加えることで、ラム・オブ・ゴッドがさらなる進化を遂げることは間違いない。

Lamb of God is an American heavy metal band .
Lamb of God is considered a significant member of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal movement, having been referred to as one of “big four” bands of the movement
They formed in 1994 as Burn the Priest with bassist John Campbell, drummer Chris Adler, guitarist Mark Morton and guitarist Matt Conner.
After releasing three demos, a full-length album was released in 1999. after that
They renamed the band Lamb of God.
They released their first album, New American Gospel, in 2000.
The band’s cumulative sales equal almost two million in the United States, including two albums certified Gold by the RIAA ;
Including this album, they have released 9 studio albums.

What do you expect from Lamb of God?
I think there are many people who answer “impressive riff”. Good things are good, even if they say it’s a Pantera ripoff.
I think there are many people who always play the Lamb of God album.
This album is thrash metal, a good balance of grooves and slightly melodic elements, with classic hardcore elements.
Aggressive, sometimes melancholic, dynamic and straight, there’s nothing wrong with them to let old fans down.
However, personally, I didn’t feel that there was an element in this album that would make me want to listen to it over and over again.
I think it’s more or less natural to feel that way because it’s going to be a comparison with the previous albums.
They’ve been in his 20+ year career as a band, so adding something new will definitely take Lamb of God to the next level.
