シナーは、ドイツ出身のベーシスト、ボーカリスト、レコードプロデューサーであるマット・シナーが中心となって1982年に結成されたバンド。
82年に『Wild ‘n’ Evil』でアルバム・デビュー、その後ラインナップ・チェンジ経てコンスタントにアルバムをリリース。
マット・シナーは多くのバンドやプロジェクトに携わっており、メインバンドは、シナー、1997年から元ガンマ・レイのボーカル、ラルフ・シーパースと結成したプライマル・フィア、ギタリストのアレックスベイロードと結成したブードゥーサークルである。
これは彼らの18枚目のスタジオアルバムで2022年7月にリリースされた。ロニー・ロメロ（レインボー、MSG、ディスティニア）、ラルフ・シーパース（プライマル・フィア）、トム・イングランド（エヴァーグレイ）エリック・モーテンソン （エクリプス）らがゲスト参加。
基本的に音楽スタイルは、古き良きの典型的なヘヴィメタルであり、メロディックでもあり、パワーメタルの要素も感じさせる。
楽曲はミドルテンポのハードロック寄りのものからパワーメタル系のものまであり、ヴァラエテイに富んでいる。
ツインギターのハーモニーは見事で、マット・シナーの低音のディープな声はボーカルは楽曲とうまくマッチしており、聴いていて心地良い。
豪華なゲストミュージシャンが加わり、良いスパイスになっている。さすが40年のベテラン、マット・シナーと言ったところか。
新しい要素というものはないが、王道のパターンを深く追求スタイルに感銘を受ける。彼はそれを表現できる貴重な存在であり、このスタイルを貫く姿を、我々ファンに見せ続けてほしい。

Sinner is a band formed in 1982 by German bassist, vocalist and record producer Mat Sinner.
He made his album debut with “Wild’n’ Evil” in 1982, and after that, he constantly released the album after a lineup change.
Mat Sinner is involved in many bands and projects, and the main band is this band’s sinner. And Primal Fear formed with former Gamma Ray vocalist Ralf Scheepers in 1997. And the Voodoo Circle, which was formed with guitarist Alex Baylord.
This is their 18th studio album, released in July 2022.
Guest musicians include Ronnie Romero (Rainbow, MSG), Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear), Tom S Englund (Evergrey) Erik Mårtensson (Eclipse).
Basically, the musical style is a typical heavy metal of the good old days, it is also melodic, and it makes you feel the element of power metal.
The songs range from middle-tempo hard rock to power metal, and are rich in variety.
The harmony of the twin guitars is wonderful, and Matt Sinner’s deep bass voice matches the vocals well with the song, and it is comfortable to listen to.
With the addition of gorgeous guest musicians, it’s a good spice. A wonderful 40-year veteran, Matt Shinner.
There is no new element, but I am impressed with the style that pursues the classic style deeply. He is a valuable person who can express it, and I hope he will continue to keep this style.
