グラッデンフォールドは2003年に結成されたフィンランドのメロディックデス/パワーメタル・バンド。
これは彼らの3枚目のスタジオアルバムで2022年4月にリリース。
メロディックスピードメタルとシンフォニックメタルの要素が耳に飛び込んでくるので、ノーマルなメロディックデスメタルをイメージしていると、やや驚きがある。
確かにボーカルがグロウルとクリーンボイスとを使い分け、交互に使用されているのでメロディックデス、と言われるとうなずける。
ドラマティックで壮大であり、シンセサイザーの効果的な使用など、アグレッシブというより、パワフルでエネルギッシュといった表現を使いたい。北欧ならではのメランコリックなメロディとの組み合わせはメロデックスピードメタルファンが十分満足できる内容であり、アレンジとしてグロウルがある、くらいで、終始煌びやかである。キャリアとしては長い彼ら、楽曲の並びや展開に緩急をつけるなど聴きごたえがある作品に仕上げている。

Gladenfold is a Finnish melodic death / power metal band formed in 2003.
This is their third studio album, released in April 2022.
The elements of melodic speed metal and symphonic metal come into my ears, so I’m a little surprised when I imagine normal melodic death metal.
Vocals use growl and clean voice properly. And it is a melodic death because it is used alternately.
Dramatic and magnificent, I want to use expressions that are powerful and energetic rather than aggressive, such as the effective use of synthesizers. The combination with the Scandinavian melancholic melody is enough to satisfy melodic speed metal fans, and there is a growl as an arrangement, and it is gorgeous from beginning to end. They have a long career, and they are making better works, such as adjusting the arrangement of songs.
