Hibriaは、ブラジルで結成されたパワーメタルバンド。2017年、アベル・カマルゴ以外の４人が脱退し、新生ヒブリアとして2022年2月にアルバムリリースとなる。これは彼らにとって8枚目のスタジオアルバム。
バンドのイメージをがらりと変えるボーカルという性質上、注目される新ボーカリスト、ヴィクター・エメカ。
エドゥ・ファラスキ（元Angra、現Almah）を彷彿とさせる歌い方で、ハイトーンが冴えわたっていて素晴らしい。間違いなくブラジル産メロディック・パワー・メタルの歴史に新たな一ページを加えてくれるだろう。
とはいっても前任のボーカリストとの比較で言うと、ユーリ・サンソンのほうがよりパワフルでインパクトがあったことは事実で、これについては好みが分かれるところもある。そしてヒブリアに対して持つイメージへの、多少の違和感があることは否めない。
楽曲は一曲が長めのものが多く、プログレッシブ色が強い。だがメロディック・パワー・メタルバンドとして、メロディーや、キャッチーさは惹きつけるものは十分あるし、満足できる作品であることに間違いない。

Hibria is a power metal band formed in Brazil. In 2017, four people other than Abel Camargo left the band, and the album will be released in February 2022 as a new Hibria. This is their 8th studio album.
The new vocalist Victor Emeka is attracting attention because of the vocals that completely change the image of the band.
It’s a singing style similar to Edu Falaschi (ex: Angra, Almah), and the high-pitched voice are clear and wonderful. It will definitely add a new page to the history of Brazilian melodic power metal.
But when compared to previous vocalists, it’s true that Iuri Sanson was more powerful and impactful, and there are some disagreements about this. And it may not be suitable for the image of Hibria.
Many of the songs are long and progressive. However, as a melodic power metal band, the melody and catchiness are enough to attract you, and there is no doubt that it will be a work that you will be satisfied with.
