エピカ（Epica）は、2003年に結成されたオランダ出身のシンフォニックメタル・バンド。
これは8枚目のスタジオアルバムで2021年2月にリリースされた。
シンフォニックで、プログレッシブ。オーケストラや合唱隊を特色とし、華やか、そしてダイナミック。
シモーネ・シモンズのクリーン・ヴォイスに、マーク・ヤンセンのデス・ヴォイス、このコントラストが美しい。
だがこのアルバムに関してはアグレッシブさは控えめだ。
ヘヴィであってもエピカに関して言えばバランスをとるのがうまいので、きっと満足できるレベルに完成させるだろう。
個人的にNight wish、Whitin temptationよりもダークでヘヴィなものをエピカに期待していた。
これについては好みが分かれると思う。また今作は新しいリスナーを惹きつけた作品になっただろう。

Epica is a Dutch symphonic metal band formed in 2003.
This is the eighth studio album released in February 2021.
Symphonic and progressive. Featuring orchestras and choirs, it is gorgeous and dynamic.
Simone Simons’ clean voice and Mark Janssen’s death voice, this contrast is beautiful.
But it’s less aggressive for this album.
Even if it’s heavy, it’s good to balance when it comes to Epica, so I’m sure it will be completed to a satisfactory level.
Personally, I expected Epica to be darker and heavier than Night wish and Whitin temptation.
I think you have different tastes for this work. .. This work would have attracted new listeners.
