ドリームタイドは2001年に結成された、ドイツのハードロックバンド。
フェア・ウォーニングのヘルゲ・エンゲルケギターが中心となって結成。他メンバーはオラフ･ゼンクバイル（ボーカル）、ラーズ・レーマン（ベース）、ホルスト・グントラム・シュラーク（ ドラム）、トーステン･リューダーヴァルト（ キーボード）。
これは彼らの4枚目のスタジオアルバムで2022年6月にリリースされた。
このアルバムは前のアルバムから14年経ってからのリリース。
ウリ・ジョン・ロートによって開発されたスカイギターが使用されている。
フェア・ウォーニングと比較すると、やや落ち着いた雰囲気のメロディアスハードロック。ベテラン勢らしい円熟味を感じさせる。そこにスカイギター特有の高音の美しさが加わる。
個人的に過去の作品のほうがよりキャッチーなサビが含まれており、聴き易いように感じた。メロディ重視には変わりないが、ポップな要素が少なくなり、複雑なアレンジであったり、民族調が前より増している。それがこのバンドの特徴と言えば、その通りだ。
このスタイルがバンドが今後の音楽性を示すなら、それは良いことだと思う。
少なくともこのアルバムを聴く人はフェア・ウォーニングとジーノの音楽性を期待するので、いい意味でそれとは一味違うという事だけ言っておきたい。
これを聴けばヘルゲのセンスとテクニックが素晴らしいことが理解できる。良いアルバムだ。

Dreamtide is a German hard rock band formed in 2001.
The band was formed mainly by his Helge Engelke (guitar) from Fair Warning. Other members are Olaf Senkbeil (vocals), Lars Lehmann (bass), Horst Guntram Schlag (drums), Torsten Luederwaldt (keyboards).
This is their fourth studio album, released in June 2022.
This album was released 14 years after the previous album.
The sky guitar developed by Uli John Roth is used.
Melodic hard rock with a slightly milder atmosphere compared to fair warning. It makes you feel the maturity that seems to be a veteran. The beauty of the high notes peculiar to sky guitar is added to that.
Personally, I felt that past works contained more catchy choruses and were easier to listen to. There is no change in the emphasis on melody, but there are fewer pop elements, complicated arrangements, and more folk music than before. That’s what the band is all about.
If this style shows the band’s musicality in the future, I think it’s good.
At least those who listen to this album expect fair warning and Zeno’s musicality, so I’d like to say that it’s a bit different in a good way.
If you listen to this, you can understand that Helge’s good sense and technique are wonderful. It’s a good album.
