1970年代後半にリチャード・フォーチュン(ギター)と、ミック・フォーチュン(ドラム)のフォーチュン兄弟を中心に結成された。
1978年にデビュー・アルバム”Fortune”を発表。現在とはかけ離れた音楽をプレイしていた。
1985年に”Fortune”をリリース。音楽スタイルはメロディアス・ロック・ハード。日本とヨーロッパでは売り上げが良く、傑作と言われている。だが商業的には成功せず、そのまま解散となる。
2019年に再結成、3枚目のスタジオアルバムをリリース。2022年4月に4枚目のスタジオアルバムをリリースとなる。
気持ちのいいくらいのメロディアスハード。フォーチュンはアメリカのバンドだが、ヨーロッパ色があり、愁いを帯びたメロディとアメリカンなサウンドが程よくマッチされている。ベテラン格でもあり、経験豊富さが良い形で表れ、より彼らの魅力につながっている。
美しいメロディとそれを引き立てるようなアレンジがストレートに心に響き渡る。
好きになる音楽というのは、どれだけ聞いた人がリピートしたくなるかというのも要因にあると思うが、これはそう感じさせる作品だ。

Fortune was formed in the late 1970s by Richard Fortune (guitar) and Mick Fortune (drums) Fortune brothers.
They released their debut album “FORTUNE” in 1978. They were playing music that was far from what they are today.
They released Fortune in 1985. The music style is melodious rock hard. Sales were good in Japan and Europe, and although it was famous as a masterpiece, it was not commercially successful. They broke up.
They reunited in 2019 and released their third studio album. The fourth studio album will be released in April 2022.
Melodic hard that you can relax while listening. Fortune is an American band, but it’s European-style, with a good match between melancholy melodies and American sounds. They are also veterans, experienced and better points for them.
The beautiful melody and the arrangement that complements it make you feel good straight. ..
I think that the music that you like is also due to how many people want to repeat it, but this is a work that makes you feel that way.
